terms and conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in treatments, workshops, classes, and sessions offered by The Fascia Clinic, specialising in Integrated Myofascial Release Therapy (iMFT) and Self-Myofascial Release Therapy (SMFR) with Alexandra Shave ("we," "us," "our"). By registering for or attending treatments, workshops, classes, or sessions ("sessions"), you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from participating in our programs.
1. Session Participation Requirements:
Eligibility: Unless otherwise specified, participation in sessions is open to individuals 18 and older. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Health Considerations: You are responsible for assessing your physical condition and suitability for participating in treatments and Self-Myofascial Release Therapy workshops, classes, and sessions. We recommend consulting with a healthcare professional before participating if you have any pre-existing medical conditions or concerns.
2. Session Registration:
Registration Process: session registration is subject to availability and requires pre-registration. We recommend booking in advance to secure your appointment and spot.
Payment: session fees are outlined on our website and must be paid in full at the time of registration unless otherwise specified.
Payment methods: We accept payments securely through Stripe on The Fascia Clinic's website. In-person or online payments can also be made at the Isbourne Wellbeing Centre or on their website.
For your first iMFT treatment session, a 50% prepayment is required to confirm your booking.
3. Cancellation and Refunds:
Cancellation policy one-to-one Integrated Myofascial Release Therapy treatment: We have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy, which means that if you do not give 24-hour notice of cancellation or change your appointment, you are likely to get charged.
No-show: in case of a no-show, you will be charged in full.
Late arrival: If you arrive late, please let Alex and the centre know. Your treatment will still end on time.
Cancellation Policy Workshops: We require a minimum of 72-hour notice for workshop cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations and rescheduling may be subject to a 25% cancellation and rescheduling fee.
Cancellation Policy Drop-in (online and in-person) sessions: No changes or refunds are available.
Cancellation Policy One-to-One sessions (online and in-person): A 24-hour cancellation policy is in place, so if you do not give 24-hour notice of cancellation or change your appointment, you will likely get charged.
Cancellation Policy Block of four bookings: Block bookings require you to commit to attending four consecutive weeks (unless otherwise specified or agreed upon in advance). No changes or refunds are available unless otherwise decided.
Cancellation Policy Block 10 sessions for 9: We require a minimum of 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If your session is not cancelled or changed within this timeframe, it is considered taken/used.
Refund Policy: Our cancellation policy allows for refunds for session cancellations but may be subject to a cancellation fee. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method unless otherwise decided or stated.
4. Workshop, Classes and Session Content:
Educational Purpose: Our sessions are designed for educational purposes and are not intended to replace professional medical advice or treatment. Participants are encouraged to seek appropriate medical guidance for any specific health concerns.
Intellectual Property: All session materials, including but not limited to handouts, presentations, techniques, SMFR tools, and exercises, are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced or distributed without prior consent.
Health practitioners and therapists are welcome to join. The Self-Myofascial Release Therapy sessions are intended for your self-care purposes only. Attending the classes doesn't qualify you to teach other people. You need training and insurance to teach SMFR. This safeguards you against third-party claims and the financial consequences that may follow.
5. Limitation of Liability:
While we strive to provide accurate and effective Integrated Myofascial Release Therapy and Self-Myofascial Release Therapy instruction, we cannot guarantee specific results or outcomes. We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the sessions.
6. Privacy Policy
We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our clients and website visitors. Please read our privacy policy here.
7. Governing Law:
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the United Kingdom.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions:
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued participation in our sessions constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
